Basic High School Guitars

Introduction

The beginning guitar classes at Basic High School are geared toward students with little or no experience on guitar. The class will introduce students to how to play basic chords, melodies, finger-picking, and playing in an ensemble. Students will learn how to select their own guitar, as well as resources for writing their own music, playing different styles of music, and reading standard notation and tablature.

The intermediate guitar class is designed to reinforce the skills learned in beginning class. This class will be performance based. Students will learn more advanced chords and techniques and play in ensembles.
