What is Upward Bound?
Upward Bound, located at Nevada State College in Henderson, is a federally funded program. We help 9th and 10th grade students from Basic and Eldorado high school to finish high school and enroll into college.
Free Services Provided:
Tutoring in core subject areas* summer College Prep Academy (we’re going to visit Disneyland and Southern CA colleges!) * transportation provided * college workshops * mentoring * food * positive friends * stipends
Who Can Apply?
- 9th or 10th graders who attend Basic or Eldorado High Schools
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are from
- Families who meet Federal income guidelines, and/or whose
- Parents have not earned a bachelors degree and
- Students with academic need and have an interest in attending college!

Enrollment is limited. Submit applications AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Applications are available at Eldorado High School’s Counseling Office, or at Nevada State College’s Upward Bound Office.
